Speak Freely for Microsoft Windows has been reported prone to a remote denial of service vulnerability. The issue presents itself when the Speak Freely software handles multiple UDP connections in quick succession that have spoofed IP addresses. It has been reported that the software will fail under these conditions, shortly after displaying an error message. It has been reported that this vulnerability may also be exploited on a low speed network, due to the low UDP packet size required to trigger the issue. This vulnerability has been reported to affect Speak Freely versions up to and including 7.6a, for Microsoft Windows platforms. The Unix version is not reported prone to this issue.
