Speak Freely clients may crash when processing malformed GIF images. This vulnerability is exposed via the "Show Your Face" feature, which allows clients to send images to other clients. When a malformed "Show Your Face" GIF is received and processed by a client, the client will crash. Though unconfirmed, this could permit an attacker to corrupt memory with specific values, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution. This issue is reported to affect Speak Freely on Windows platforms only.
