MollenSoft Hyperion FTP Server reported prone to a buffer overflow vulnerability. This issue likely occurs due to insufficient bounds checking when processing the FTP 'USER' command. As a result, it may be possible for an anonymous remote attacker to corrupt sensitive locations in memory; potentially resulting in remote code execution. It should be noted that this vulnerability was discovered in version 3.0.0 of Hyperion FTP Server. It is not yet known whether this issue affects earlier versions.
