AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) is a real time messaging service for users of AOL. A possible buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the AIM. The condition is related to processing of malformed aim:AddBuddy hyperlinks. If a victim clicks on an AddBuddy hyperlink consisting of many comma delimited screen names, a crash occurs. It is not known if this vulnerability can be exploited to execute arbitrary code.
