A remote denial of service vulnerability has been discovered in IRSSI that could allow a person to crash an IRSSI client process. The problem occurs due to an erroneously formatted call to an internal function that could allow a malicious user to trigger an unexpected condition. It is said that this condition may only occur under two specific circumstances; either the program is running on an enforced word alignment architecture or a specific signal is being used by running scripts.
