A denial of service vulnerability has been reported for PerlEdit. The vulnerability exists when an connection is made to TCP port 1956. When PerlEdit is executed, it will bind to TCP port 1956. If an attempt is made to connect to that port while PerlEdit is running, it will cause PerlEdit to crash.
