It has been reported that Adobe SVG Viewer (ASV) is prone to a vulnerability that may permit SVG documents to execute malicious active content. The vulnerability allows a malicious SVG document to bypass Active Scripting security settings; therefore making it possible for an attacker to render active content contained within SVG documents without the normal security restrictions. This could create a false sense of security if Active Scripting has been disabled or otherwise secured and may aid in exploitation of other vulnerabilities. ASV 3.0 and prior are reported to be prone to this vulnerability.
