A weakness has been discovered in the rc.M runlevel script used by Slackware. The problem occurs when calling the '/sbin/quotacheck' executable. Due to the use of an incorrect flag, a partition may unexpectedly be remounted. As a result, all mount options normally enforced on the partition will no longer be in place. This may result in an administrator having a false sense of security.
