Deerfield VisNetic Website is prone to a memory corruption vulnerability that may be triggered when attempting to handle a malformed request for a resource in the OPTIONS directory. It has been demonstrated that this issue may be exploited to cause a denial of service. However, since an attacker is able to corrupt memory with attacker-supplied data, it may be possible to execute arbitrary code. If this vulnerability can be exploited to execute arbitrary code, this will occur in the security context of the VisNetic Website process, which may run with SYSTEM (or equivalent privileges) on Microsoft Windows operating systems. This issue was reported in VisNetic Website 3.5.13.1. Other versions may also be affected.
