Microsoft has addressed an issue in Internet Explorer which could allow malicious web sites to be viewed in the Local Intranet Zone. This privilege escalation issue results because of a flaw in the way IE handles sites accessed using the NetBIOS protocol. A maliciously crafted web page could trick IE into opening the page as a trusted site.
