BinHex and MacBinary are binary file types used by the Macintosh operating systems. An error in the interaction between Internet Explorer 5.1 and Mac OS X 10.1 may allow a file downloaded in either of the two formats to execute automatically once the download is complete. Earlier versions of Internet Explorer have not been tested, but may also be vulnerable.
