Due to improper bounds checking in the SNMP and DMI functionality of Compaq Insight Manager XE, it may be possible for a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on a host running the vulnerable software. The attacker-supplied code will be executed with administrative privileges, potentially allowing a full compromise of the affected host. NOTE: This issue may be related to BugTraq ID 2417 (Solaris snmpXdmid Buffer Overflow Vulnerability).
