Cisco PIX Firewall Manager (PFM) is software that can be used to configure and manage a Cisco PIX Firewall. After the PFM software makes an initial connection to the PIX Firewall, the administrative password is stored in plaintext on the local management workstation. A malicious user could use this password to connect to the PIX Firewall and make configuration changes. It is important to note that a malicious user would have to obtain access to the local workstation in order to exploit this vulnerability.
