Ganglia is a scalable cluster monitoring system, which collects and combines a variety of performance metrics from a diverse, distributed group of computers. The Ganglia project has also produced a PHP based web client for the Ganglia system. A vulnerability exists in a component of the PHP web client. The script graph.php executes a shell command with user supplied input. A malicious user may request this script and supply an arbitrary shell command which will then be executed by the web server, generally as user 'nobody'. Exploitation of this vulnerability may lead to local access on the vulnerable host.
