psyBNC is an IRC proxy server. It includes a number of features, including the ability to encrypt IRC conversations with a given channel or user. It is an open source project, and will compile on a number of Linux and BSD platforms. Encrypted messages are prepended with the characters [B] or [I]. If control codes are inserted into these streams, messages will not be decrypted. As a result, plaintext messages may appear to be injected into an encrypted conversation by an arbitrary third party. Social engineering attacks may be possible.
