PHP is a server side scripting language, designed to be embedded within HTML files. It has been released for Windows, Linux, and many Unix based operating systems. It is commonly used for web development, and is very widely deployed. PHP session information may be stored in files in the /tmp directory. These files are give names including the session ID. A local attacker may view the contents of the /tmp directory and use the session IDs revealed to hijack current web sessions.
