The WaveNet IP 2400 and 2458 are part of a series of wireless routers offered by Wireless, Inc. The routers ship with ftp, telnet, snmp, and www services to facilitate remote administration. It has been reported that Wavenet 2400 series devices ship with a default SNMP community string. This community is read/write. With a default read/write community, an attacker may be able to set and view configuration settings in the device. This may permit attacks against the target network.
