A vulnerability exists in Compaq Presario's implementation of the Compaq Knowledge Center. Some of the Knowledge Center features are implemented with Microsoft's Active X components. A malicious web site could create or modify a file on a visiting users system via the 'LogDataListToFile' Active X control function. Securityfocus has not received further technical details of this vulnerability. As more information on this issue becomes available, this vulnerability database entry will be updated.
